If you use Enovation MPC10 or MPC20 controllers, you’ll know that deploying new firmware has traditionally meant connecting directly to the controller with a PC.
That’s fine when the machine is in the workshop. It’s much harder when it’s hundreds of kilometres away, working on a mine site or construction project.
Working with Macquarrie Corporation, we’ve added the ability for the Senquip QUAD to remotely program Enovation MPC10 and MPC20 controllers over the CAN bus.
This isn’t just about changing configuration settings. It allows complete firmware updates to be delivered to the controller, enabling bug fixes, new features and software improvements to be deployed without connecting directly to the MPC.
It’s another step towards machines that can be maintained and improved remotely, wherever they happen to be.
