When supplying equipment to large organisations, we’re often asked to demonstrate compliance with extensive safety, cybersecurity and regulatory requirements.
And rightly so. These requirements exist for good reasons.
But here’s something we’ve noticed.
When an internal engineering team develops its own solution, those same requirements don’t always seem to apply.
The internally developed solution is often presented as significantly cheaper. And perhaps it is. But has it undergone the same testing, certification and security assessment?
At Senquip, we invest considerable time and money in certification, testing and documentation. It’s an essential part of developing products for industrial applications.
We’re not suggesting that every prototype needs full certification. But when equipment is deployed into the same operational environment, surely the same standards should apply?
Compliance shouldn’t depend on who designed the product.
