Connecting to a BLE Pressure Sensor

APN0049  |  Revision 1.0  |  June 24, 2026

This application note demonstrates how to integrate a Hydrotechnik WLB-PT BLE pressure sensor with a Senquip device. The WLB-PT continuously broadcasts pressure measurements in its BLE advertisement packets, allowing Senquip devices to receive and decode pressure data without pairing or maintaining a Bluetooth connection. Two implementation methods are covered: using the built-in Senquip BLE advertisement scanner, or managing BLE scanning directly from a script using the GAP API for greater efficiency in dedicated applications. Example scripts, packet structure details, sensor identification techniques, debugging methods, and a multi-sensor implementation are included. Pressure values are decoded from the advertisement payload and made available as custom parameters in the Senquip Portal.
