What happens when you press STOP, but the device is offline?
In industrial remote monitoring and control, timing matters.
Imagine sending a command to a pump that has temporarily lost communications. By the time it reconnects, the command may no longer be appropriate.
We’ve introduced three improvements to triggers in the Senquip Portal:
⏱️ Trigger expiry – Set an optional expiry time so commands that have been waiting too long are not delivered when the device reconnects.
👁️ Pending trigger visibility – See which commands are queued and waiting for the device to connect.
❌ Cancel pending triggers – Cancel a queued command before it is delivered. A new indicator on the trigger button makes its pending status clear.
Triggers can still be configured to remain queued until the device reconnects, where that behaviour is appropriate.
These changes give operators greater visibility and control over remote commands, particularly when equipment operates in areas with intermittent connectivity.
Because a command that made sense five minutes ago might not make sense now.
